We believe magic lives in the quiet imperfections of everyday life. The fleeting glances, the unexpected laughter, the moments that unfold naturally when no one is trying too hard.
Life rarely follows a perfect script, and that is exactly what makes it beautiful. As Forrest Gump said, “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get.”
The name Dyad comes from the idea of two elements that naturally complement each other. In life, there is often both a grounded way of seeing things and a more romantic one, the practical and the poetic. Together, they create balance.
Yves is the photographer and founder of Dyad Imagery. His work is rooted in observation and patience, allowing moments to unfold without interference so the story of the day can be documented honestly and naturally.
Behind the name also lives the personal story that shaped it. I met my wife many years ago at work, where hallway conversations slowly turned into lunches, and eventually into a love story. Eighteen years later, we still share that same balance of perspectives.
Outside of photography, life is filled with family, friends, too many hobbies, a slightly dark sense of humour, and a house slowly filling with plants that somehow keep surviving.
At the heart of it all is a fascination with human connection. The emotions people share, the quiet in-between moments, the imperfect beauty of real life. Having the privilege to witness and document those moments is something Yves never takes for granted.
Yves is a bit of a coffee snob and has done everything from roasting his own beans to whipping up a mean latte.
Home. We love cooking and feeding family and friends. Food is our love language.
You will often see him show-up on Zoom meetings or chilling in his stylish tent during a session.
My wife is an empath and a strong mental health advocate, with a core belief that nobody should ever feel alone when going through tough times.
We love watching Netflix series, taking Quincy out on adventures, and taking out some old board games.
Smoking meat!!! Since Yves got a smoker BBQ hasn't been the same. We may be a bit obsessed....

From our first meeting, to our engagement shoot to our wedding day, we knew we would be in great hands. You really have an eye for details, and we trusted your vision completely. You made everyone feel entirely at ease with your kind and easygoing personality and professionalism. We felt like you were both so prepared the whole day, you always kept us on track and kept things moving for family photos. We felt very comfortable all day and we were excited to try new things with you, and seriously cannot wait to see how the photos turned out. We just cannot say enough good things!

You came in and offered us comfort, joy, and flexibility. In the end, I am so glad that we went with you. The quality of your service and the beauty of the images was beyond what we could have expected. You also somehow provided the moral support we didn't even know we needed and we are so grateful. We also loved working with bilingual folks who made our family feel very comfortable. We were so excited to hang your work in our home and we will cherish the images and memories forever.
Our business serves everyone. We support all body types, all ethnicities and the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
LOVE IS LOVE.
