Living for Taco Tuesdays and capturing life stories,
from Ottawa to Quebec City.
We believe magic exists in the perfect imperfections of everyday moments. That everything happens for a reason, in its own time, and if it’s meant to be, it will be. And if you're Yves then being a smart ass is just part of the game too. Because you can't take everything too seriously. Forrest Gump said it best, "life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you gonna get!"
This all applies to us so well. Our life paths led us to meet at work, where hallway talks led to lunches, then slowly blossomed into a beautiful love story. And here we are, 17 years later. We like to think we are two halves of a whole, because we do function better as a unit. Hence the name Dyad. It all makes sense doesn't it?
We love to laugh and one could qualify our sense of humour as a little dark and weird. Spending time with friends and family, especially our kids, is one of our favorite things. Annie loves plants even though she does not understand much about them, just about enough to keep them alive. Yves has way too many hobbies, from building speakers to mid-century furniture to coffee to bicycles to legos....
But in the heart of it all we love human connections, and the bonds that unite people. We find it fascinating to witness the emotions people share, and have the privilege to witness and document it. And that's why we love capturing life stories, and would love to be part of yours.
Yves is a bit of a coffee snob and has done everything from roasting his own beans to whipping up a mean latte.
Home. We love cooking and feeding family and friends. Don't be surprised to be invited over. Bring your apetite!
You will often see him show-up on Zoom meetings or chilling in his stylish tent during a family session.
Annie is an empath and a strong mental health advocate, with a core belief that nobody should ever feel alone when going through tough times.
We love watching Netflix series, taking Quincy out on adventures, and taking out some old board games.
Smoking meat!!! Since Yves got a smoker BBQ hasn't been the same. We may be a bit obsessed....
Authenticity is the heartbeat of your visual story. It’s those unscripted moments, the raw beauty of your narrative without artificial embellishment or outside interference. Your visual journey is like an intimate conversation among friends, where every image is genuine and reveals the richness of life's candid charm. It's not just about taking pictures; it's about crafting a visual legacy that resonates with depth, simplicity, and the realness of your experiences.
Our business serves everyone. We support all body types, all ethnicities and the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
